Vijay Patel - Artist

Vijay Patel is a performance artist based in London. He crosses forms from live art, performance art and queer club/cabaret. The work he makes predominantly surrounds cultural identity, making autobiographical/political work which relates to the current state we live in.
His debut solo show, Pull the Trigger, premiered at SPILL National Platform (2016), went on to Camden People’s Theatre Sprint festival 2017 and toured in Autumn 2018 (Camden People’s Theatre, Colchester Arts Centre, Norwich Arts Centre). He is currently developing his second solo show, Sometimes I Leave, which was co-commissioned by Word of Warning, Contact and STUN for Works Ahead 2018 in Manchester.
Other work includes: The Weighting Game (University of Chichester, Rich Mix and Latitude Festival 2015), Walking the Line (Duckie Family Legacy, Latitude Festival 2018, Aldgate Square Festival, Fierce Festival, Arcola Theatre, Dice Festival) and I Died A Hundred Times (Artsadmin, Toynbee Studious). He has also worked alongside Sh!t Theatre (I Need to Cher, Sing-Along A Muppets Christmas Carol), FK Alexander (Diana is Dead), Andy Field/Krista Burane (Nocturne), Greg Wohead (Celebration, Florida) and Scottee (Queer Commune).
Vijay was part of the Artsadmin Youth Board (2014 – 2018), during which he made a big contribution to curating some of their main season events, such as: Pre-Show//Degree Show and SCRITZ. He was a Youth Board representative in 2017, feeding reports to the governance of Artsadmin.
Tilly Bungard - Producer
Tilly Bungard is a producer and artist living and working in London. She works primarily with cabaret and live art performance artists and also works as a freelance illustrator and theatre workshop facilitator.
Graduating from Queen Mary University of London in 2017, Tilly has been producing Vijay’s 2018 tour of Pull The Trigger since December 2017. [For more info about Vijay's show, visit the tab under 'Performances'].
